day 5

At the start of every day you need to go to wardrobe. You need to go to wardrobe so they can give you the outfit you are going to wear on set. Next you need to go to makeup so they can do whatever they need to do to your appearance before you go on set.

This is a photo of me in my costume in front of the movie trailers. The tents behind me are where we stop to have lunch.

Quite often the director will come into the scene to compliment us and help us with what we could do better or give a completely new thing/way to do it.

Each week we are going to ask different people who are working on the movie what their job is, do they like it and if so what is it about the job do you like the best. There are so many interesting jobs behind the scenes so we will try and tell you about some.

  1. Hi Jack, Batba and I have just read your blog for today. I expect the funeral scene was pretty tough to do, so well done getting that out of the way. It's good that the director is helpful and complimentary. He sounds very nice. It must be good being in your second week and knowing how everything works. Looking at the photos I think your movie dad looks very similar to your real dad. Love Wanny and Batba.

  2. Hi Jack,
I am looking forward to hearing about all the different roles that people undertake on a movie set. It all sounds very ibteresting. It looks like the filming is getting underway. It would feel pretty wierd to attend your pretend mum's funeral. I am at home at the moment resting my knee after surgery and writing your reports.
    Cheers Mrs. Hastie
